Academic Counsellor (Jashore Tele-sales)

The Role:
As an Academic Counsellor you will be responsible for advising customers on the features, benefits and uses of Shikho and ultimately growing the customer base by driving multi-year and multi-product sales. The role means you will have to focus on building deep relationships with new and existing customers via cold-calling. We are looking for experienced sales professionals who are looking to take their career to the next level by working for an internationally venture backed fast growing education technology start-up.

Key Roles & Responsibilities: 
  • Advise students and parents for their learning needs through structured counselling sessions.
  • Fix appointments and conduct online demo sessions on a daily basis alongside follow up sessions.
  • Understand customer profile and their specific problems to explain the implications of ineffective learning methods.
  • Create the need for smart learning and advise student-parent to buy a Shikho subscription as a solution.
  • Handle objectives and price negotiations with respect and credibility to generate sales revenues.
  • Continuously learn and upgrade product knowledge and sales skills to achieve and exceed growing sales targets.
  • Possess a sound knowledge and understanding of consumer (students and parents) behaviour.   
Requirements & Qualifications: 
  • Understand customer psychology and is able to empathise with students and parents.
  • Ability to drive commercial goals by meeting sales targets.
  • Has studied the Bangla medium National Curriculum for SSC and HSC and has a very good understanding of the curriculum and syllabus.
  • Enthusiastic and willing to work relentlessly to achieve and exceed sales targets to drive commissions and career progression.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced and self-driven working environment.
  • Have really good communication skills in Bangla
  • Has minimum 6 months of Tele-sales/Call center experience in direct-to-consumer target-driven roles.
  • Current University students with scope to meet the required working hour

  • Job type: Contractual, 6 Days a Week (Saturday to Thursday), 10:00AM to 7:00PM (or equivalent hours)

  • Salary: BDT 9k to 10.5k basic salary, Additional KPI and Sales incentive for achieving sales targets
