Junior Analyst / Analyst - Strategy & FP&A

The Role:
As a Junior Analyst / Analyst in Strategy & FP&A, you will play a key role in shaping the future of our business. Your analytical expertise and strategic insight will support our mission to deliver exceptional learning experiences and drive sustainable growth. You will work closely with the FP&A team and other cross-functional teams, contributing to the development and execution of business strategies, financial planning, and analysis.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

Financial Planning & Management:
• Collaborate with the finance team to prepare budgets and track financial performance against targets.
• Monitor and analyze key financial metrics to assess the health of the business unit from P&L statement analysis and unit economics report.
• Assist in preparing financial reports, variance analysis, and scenario planning.

Strategic Planning & Analysis:
• Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify opportunities for business growth and efficiency improvements.
• Assist in the creation of financial models and forecasts to support business decision-making.
• Provide data-driven insights and recommendations for strategic initiatives and business development.

Market Research & Competitive Intelligence:
• Research industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape to inform business strategies.
• Provide insights into potential market opportunities and areas for expansion.
• Track and analyze competitor performance and strategies to identify potential threats and opportunities.

Collaboration & Communication:
• Collaborate with different departments, including sales, marketing, product development, and customer support, to ensure alignment with business goals.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to support the execution of strategic initiatives.
• Assist in developing business cases and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Support the creation of performance dashboards and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success.
• Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to stakeholders at all levels.

Ideal Profile:
• Bachelor’s or Master's in Business/Finance/Accounting, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Excel and other data analysis tools; experience with business intelligence (BI) software is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• A passion for education technology and a desire to contribute to the success of Shihko’s mission.

The Important Bits:
Job type: Full-Time
Experience: 0-1 year (Freshers encouraged to apply)
Location: Banani, Dhaka, Bangladesh
Reporting to VP, Operations
Salary: Competitive based on market standards
Working Days: 5 days a week, from Sunday to Thursday
